OmniScan ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and disclose information when you use our mobile application (the "App") and the backend services connected to it (the "Services").

By using OmniScan, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

A. Non-Personal and Anonymous Identifiers

We respect your privacy and do not require you to register with an email address, name, or phone number.

• Anonymous User ID: When you open the App for the first time, a random, unique anonymous identifier (UUID) is generated and stored securely in your device's Keychain. This identifier persists across app reinstalls and is used to scope your scan history, cloud sync data, and subscription entitlements.

B. User Content and Media

• Photos & Images: To identify objects, you must grant the App access to your camera or photo library. Photos you submit for scanning are sent securely to our backend servers to perform analysis.
• Scan Metadata: When an object is identified, we save metadata about the discovery (e.g., object name, category, estimated valuation range, AI summary, and the timestamp of the scan) locally on your device and mirror it securely to our Cloudflare storage (D1 Database and R2 Buckets).

C. Gated AI Chat Conversations

• Ask AI History: If you use our interactive chat feature to learn more about a discovered object, your queries and conversation history are temporarily processed to generate replies. We do not link these conversations to your real-world identity.

D. Transactional and Subscription Data

• Purchase Token & Transaction Details: We use third-party tools to handle subscriptions. While Apple manages all billing details directly, anonymous purchase receipts and entitlement tokens are shared with RevenueCat to check whether you have active "Pro" features.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely for the following purposes:

• To Provide and Maintain the Service: Processing camera images to return object identifications, pricing data, and facts.
